Mr. Samuel Cooper, former Superintendent of the Warrior Run School District spoke for a few minutes to the crowd of former students of the Limestone Elementary School. He presented the pros and cons of consolidation of the school district in the late 1950's, which ultimately led to the dissolution of the Limestone Elementary School. He suggested that it was a difficult decision. We must look at all sides of the argument, he implied. Only we collectively must arrive at our own conclusion.
After months of planning and organizing, former students of the Limestone Elementary School in Montour County, Pennsylvania, held a ceremony to dedicate the school bell as part of a memorial for all former students and community members of Limestone Township. In the midst of the rural farmland of East Central Pennsylvania,they came to reflect on a simpler time in their lives.
